The Battery Impact Test Chamber assesses battery safety by simulating impacts with varying weights, heights, and stress areas.
1.Test Setup: Position the test battery flat with a 15.8 ± 0.2 mm diameter rod centered in a crisscross pattern.
2.Impact Procedure: Drop a 9.1kg or 10kg weight from 610mm or 1000mm onto the sample.
3.Orientation: For cylindrical batteries, align parallel to the plane; for square batteries, position the longest side perpendicular to the column and the largest face against the impact
direction.
4.Test Criteria: A single impact per battery; pass if no fire or explosion occurs.
